CBL Properties Reports Strong Results for Second Quarter 2024

The second quarter of 2024 yielded strong results for CBL Properties, reflecting the growing strength of the retail real estate sector. With healthy demand from tenants for space across our portfolio, CBL executed more than one million square feet of leases in the second quarter, a 23% increase from the prior-year period.

With a $3M construction project, Live! Casino is creating a new high-limit gambling space in Westmoreland Mall in Greensburg, PA. This exciting addition builds on existing momentum as Westmoreland Mall was already 95% leased at the end of 2023.

Be a part of something Big! Join our cause as we raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga to support their mission of helping youth reach their full potential.

For 66 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As a member agency of the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization in the United States, they make meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 14, in Hamilton, Marion, Bradley, Walker, Catoosa and Dade counties. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people in our community.

The Sustainability Communicator

Ahead of Earth Day, our VP ESG Derek Young chatted with The Sustainability Communicator podcast to unpack SEC's new climate rule. Covering the background and key aspects of the new rule, including the requirement for companies to report on climate-related risks and their management, the conversation also touches on the impact of this rule on companies' sustainability strategies and communication. Out of Bankruptcy, CBL Properties Plans To Accelerate Mall Redevelopment Strategy, CEO Says

CBL Properties, the retail real estate investment trust that emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection a month ago, is poised to rev up its mall redevelopment strategy now that its reorganization is behind it. CBL Chief Executive Officer Stephen Lebovitz said the company plans to extend a program to add new uses to its malls to replace shuttered anchor tenants such as Sears and Bon-Ton. Click here to read more.

Real World Learning at Oak Park Mall

Earlier this month, high school students in the Shawnee Mission School District debuted a digital storefront thanks to a new partnership with @oakparkmall.
