Trade Area Facts

• There are more than 13 major colleges and universities located fewer than 15 miles from Monroeville Mall, including the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, Carlow University, Chatham University, and Duquesne University.
• Adjacent to the mall, the Monroeville business area includes The Monroeville Convention Center and the corporate offices of CVS/Caremark, which employs more than 1,600 people.
• UPMC East Hospital is located near the mall on Route 22 employing more than 850 people. UPMC East recently expanded its emergency room by 14,000 square feet, which doubled the capacity.
• Allegheny Health Network – Forbes Regional Hospital, which houses over 1,500 employees and over 700 physicians, recently added a state-of-the-art 80,000 square foot cancer and imaging center, which opened in 2019.
• Monroeville is located approximately 15 miles east of Pittsburgh, which is the second-largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The city has leading economies in the steel, aluminum, glass, shipbuilding, petroleum, sports, transportation, and automobile industries.
• Google, Apple, Bosch, Disney, Uber, Intel, and IBM are among the 1,600 technology firms generating $20.7 billion in annual Pittsburgh payrolls.
• The mall property is located directly off of William Penn Highway, which is also known as U.S. Route 22 and has a daily traffic count in excess of 28,000 vehicles per day. Nearby I-376 has additional traffic counts of 47,000 vehicles per day.
